Course Learning Objectives (C.L.O.)
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Perform the basic functions of the LMS
- Communicate with other users within the LMS
- Discuss hybrid courses and the way they work at PVAMU
- Manage quizzes within the LMS
- Use the LMS grade book
- Identify third party applications used with the LMS

Course Assessment
Course assessments will consist of assignments, quizzes, and discussions. Most of the assignments will be completed in the participants' sandboxes. Quizzes and discussion will take place within this ITO course shell.
Grading methods used in the course will consist of "Complete / Incomplete" for some assignments and scoring rubrics for others. Participants must earn a grade of "Complete" or at least 80% on all activities for successful completion of the course.
Technical Considerations
Minimum Suggested Hardware and Software:
- Intel with Windows 10 or Mac with OS 10
- High-speed Internet access
- 8 GB RAM
- 256 GB Hard drive
- 15” monitor, 800x600, color or 16 bit
- Sound card with speakers
- Microphone and recording software

- Recommended Internet Browsers:
- Most current version of Google Chrome
- Most current version of Mozilla Firefox
- Most current version of Safari
- Most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader
Participants should have a basic proficiency of the following computer skills:
- Sending and receiving email
- A working knowledge of the Internet
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Proficiency in the Acrobat PDF
- Reader Basic knowledge of Windows or Mac O.S.
